Pure Facial Rituals Using Organic Ingredients.

Skin care products that are made from natural and organic ingredients contribute by supporting a healthier, greener environment.Supporting organic and natural brands, we are contributing to increasing demand for organic and sustainable farming practices. We support companies that support fair trade, and have socially and environmentally responsible practices, and who will give back to the environment.  At Chikii we use all packaging, labels, and marketing materials out of recycled paper. All gift wrapping is made out of hand made paper or boxes. To safeguard our environment and also maintain the lowest possible prices for the quality of products we offer, we use simple attractive labels and no packing in glossy, expensive and useless boxes. We prefer to allow our quality to speak for itself without squandering the earth’s precious resources.

Essential oils may leach chemicals out of plastics thereby corrupting the products they contain. Additionally, plasticizers used to make plastics pliable, act like oestrogens in the environment and are being linked to hormone related cancers. You will find throughout the site that some of the product brands have minimized the exposure of the products to plastics by using glass and spun aluminium containers, materials that have a proven non-reactivity. Please re-use and recycle.

 Why use Organic Skincare?

Your skin is your body’s largest organ and it absorbs everything you put on it. The application of skin and hair care products that contain petrochemical by-products and toxic ingredients leads to components of these being absorbed into the blood stream and disbursed into the body’s vital organs. Did you know that the average woman absorbs up to 14kg of skin care products over a sixty year span! Makes you think doesn’t it Organic skin care uses the highest quality ingredients available, ingredients that are grown through sustainable farming methods without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Conventional (non-organic) ingredients are often over refined as it gives the products a longer shelf life. Conventional hazelnut oil has a light, slightly yellow color with no odour. Organic hazelnut oil will be amber colored and smell of roasted hazelnuts. The minimal processing of organic ingredients means that more of their botanical health-giving properties are retained and therefore available to be used by your skin!
The truth of it is that skin care products can’t perform miracles. Rest, exercise, drinking plenty of water, minimal exposure to the sun is the keys to healthy skin – it’s a lifestyle choice! Organic skin care products support and complement your skin’s natural processes, giving you a fresh and vital glow.

Look for certifying bodies that are recognised and follow strict guidelines.

Searching for products with the logo of a certifying body on the label is the only way you can guarantee the organic authenticity and integrity of every ingredient in the product, without this, the organic claim means nothing, as it cannot be verified.
