We like to choose companies that use airless pumps for their formulations to prevent air being introduced (air creates an environment for some bacterial growth) and lessens the need for preservatives. We look at packaging that is environmental friendly e.g. consumer recycled, sustainable materials, free trade packaging. We believe to love is to take care, and to feel the impact of our actions on all that we touch upon. We also look at recyclable glass and PET plastic for bottles and we are constantly researching even better environmental options for this area.
As part of our goal to preserve the beauty of the planet, we are taking steps at every level… At our office we minimise paper waste,we also recycle and strive to reduce waste in all areas of our administration and production. We recycle packaging and are conscious of waste at every level. We employ staff to fit in with their family life and pursuit of personal goals allowing people to work from home with flexible hours. As we continue to grow, we are committed to becoming 100% green and carbon neutral.
At Chikii, we support “With Compassion and Soul” as we are strongly against animal testing and we feature brands that are cruelty free. With Compassion & Soul, is an organization that raises money and collects donated veterinary and medical supplies here in Australia. They then distribute these donations to selected animal shelters in developing countries that have sterilisation, vaccination & education programmes in place and crisis care services.
